Here at The Steam Tent we believe in the power of a good sweat. We also believe in a little peace and, well, sanity while you're at it. But let's be honest, our local public sauna wasn't exactly known for its tranquility.

We saw some seriously odd things including shadowboxing that could have taken Mike Tyson out, Questionable rap freestyles that could melt ice (and potentially eardrums). And movie marathons at volumes that rivaled a heavy metal concert - all while you're trying to achieve a state of pure zen. Yeah, it wasn't exactly the picture of relaxation.

And then there is the price tag of commercial saunas, ridiculous.

This birthed our mission - to provide Kiwi's with the recovery and wellness benefits of steam sauna in the comfort of their own home, at an affordable price.

We craved a portable, affordable sauna experience that was about us, not impromptu public performances. A place where we could unwind, detox, and sweat it out in glorious silence (or with our own choice of calming tunes, no judgment here).
